About
Us:
The Neighborhood
Impact on Kids Project is funded by the National Institutes of
Health. It is being conducted in San Diego, CA and King County,
WA to learn more about how local neighborhoods can affect the
health and growth of children.
For this
project we are looking for:
- Children
between the ages of 5-11 and their parents who...
- are able
to walk and have no disorders that affect growth or diet...
- and plan
to stay at the same residence for at least 2 years
To participate,
parents will complete a survey about their home and neighborhood,
and tell us about the variety of foods their child has eaten.
Children will wear an activity meter for one week, and we will
take measurements of their growth. For participating in this first
step, families will receive $25!
Families will
be contacted again 2 years later, complete the same process and
receive $35!
If you fit our criteria and live
in either San Diego or King Counties, contact
us to participate!
